IMA Enters Its Next Phase – Change in Leadership
At the end of the year, Sara Brodin Söderlund will step down from her role as CEO of IMA, at her own initiative. After several years focused on strategy, brand development and business growth, she leaves IMA with a clear plan for continued growth. Anders Vingeborn will take on the role of Acting CEO from 1 January.
During Sara’s time as CEO, IMA has taken several important steps forward. A long-term strategy and vision have been established, the brand has been strengthened, and the company’s offering and product range have been further clarified.
At the same time, IMA has developed its organisation, systems and ways of working, while investing in areas such as new technology, digitalisation and sustainability. These efforts have laid a solid foundation for the company’s continued development and its ambition to become Europe’s strongest brand in kitchen waste sorting solutions.
“IMA is in a fantastic position. We have a strong brand, a thriving business with an offering for a market that exists throughout Europe, a clear strategy and a growth plan that I strongly believe in. This is the plan that IMA will now continue to pursue. I am incredibly proud of the years I have had the privilege of leading the company and of all the fantastic people I have had the opportunity to work with. It has been a rewarding journey and a lot of fun.”

The Board and owners are very pleased with Sara’s contribution and proud of the development IMA has made during her time as CEO.
“We are very pleased with Sara’s work and proud of the development she has led. Her commitment, courage and ability to drive change have meant a great deal to IMA. As owners, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to Sara for these years. Today, IMA stands on a strong foundation, with a clear strategy, a strong team and an ambitious plan for continued growth. We are also very pleased that Sara will continue to work with IMA in a different capacity.”

Continued Focus on IMA’s Growth Plan
Sara will now move on to establish her own business, where she will support companies, management teams and owners in business development and transformation. IMA wishes her every success in this next chapter and looks forward to continuing to work together.
At the same time, IMA will continue to pursue the strategy and growth plan already in place. From 1 January, Anders Vingeborn will take on the role of Acting CEO during the transition period. In parallel, the recruitment process is underway to find the leader who will take IMA forward into its next phase of development.
