Since 2023, all EU member states have been required to collect and process food waste separately. This represents a significant shift for the kitchen industry and places new demands on the design of kitchen interiors, storage solutions, and waste sorting systems.
At IMA, we recognized early on the need for a solution that works across national borders. Through close collaboration with waste management organizations and industry stakeholders throughout Europe, we developed HERO – an innovative, ventilated container specifically designed for food waste collection.
